Is God to be feared?

Fear of God:
This expression is often found in the Bible, but should we avoid it and do away with it? No, properly understood it proves, on the contrary, to be very valuable: paradoxical and mysterious, it leads us with sensitivity and depth into the mystery of our relationship with God.
