Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen on you. Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. (Isaiah 60:1-6)

About me

When I was a little boy in the mid-70s, I went to Taizé for the first time with my parents. The lasting memory I took back from there was not only the impressive bell tower but also a small scar from climbing on a pile of gravel.
The first time I really went to Taizé was in 1985, when I was 15. My father just threw me in at the deep end, I had no idea what to expect. That week in Taizé has shaped me ever since.
Now I am (almost) 50, I have "inherited" this shop from my father and have developed it further.
Taizé is still a place for me that gives me spiritual time out. I try to be there every 1-2 years.

Apart from that, music plays a big role in my life. You can find some of my CDs here in the shop.
Besides that, I am a photographer with my own photo studio in Mainz and organise workshops for music teachers.

And of course I don't want to forget my family. They support me in everything I do.
