Common prayers for the whole year
- Order number: BaT-10
With a preface by Brother Alois
- For Taizé prayers at home and in the parish
- The classic of Taizé literature
For decades, the Taizé Community has been a spiritual meeting place for countless people, most of them young. At the heart of life in Taizé and of the international meetings prepared by the community is common prayer - both in Taizé and at meetings around the world.
The book contains 44 suggestions for common prayer, appropriate to the different times and festivals of the year. In addition to prayer with others, they can also be an aid to personal prayer. Through the prayers a connection is created between many people who are on the "pilgrimage of trust" throughout the world.

The Taizé community stands uniquely for awakening and reconciliation in the Church. The centre of the ecumenical order of men is on the hill of the Burgundian Taizé.
Since the 1950s, this community has become a spiritual centre of encounter for hundreds of thousands of young people from all continents, where thousands of young people gather year after year for sharing, prayer and meditation. The brothers of the community now work all over the world.
The founder and lifelong prior of the community, Brother Roger, was instrumental in its current popularity, which continues unabated under the leadership of Brother Alois.
