Singing and praying is an essential form of searching for God. Short, repetitive chants create an atmosphere in which one can pray together. The songs from Taizé were initially written for the meetings at which young people from all over the world come together in the community of the brothers in Burgundy. However, they are also suitable for prayers in smaller groups and for church services. This CD was recorded in March 2024 in Rostock with the choral choir and soloists of the St Johannis-Kantorei Rostock under the direction of Markus J. Langer.
